- Peters will oversee employee engagement, retention and acquisition as Nutcracker continues to grow
EMERYVILLE, Calif., March 7, 2023 — Nutcracker Therapeutics, Inc., a biotechnology company dedicated to developing transformative RNA therapies through its proprietary platform, today announced the appointment of Angela Peters as the company’s first Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO). Peters joins the company amidst an ongoing strengthening of the company’s therapeutic efforts, which included the appointment of several key C-suite executives over the past year.

Peters joins Nutcracker from Standard Biotools, formerly Fluidigm, where she served as CHRO and led major initiatives that included the global and digital transformation of HR services and functions. In conjunction with other senior leaders, she drove the evolution of the company beyond its roots in single cell genomics – delivering on talent and cultural imperatives integral to the company’s persona as a growing, high-plex imaging pioneer, as well as significant cultural programs to reinforce organizational values related to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Prior to Standard Biotools, Peters was a senior director of HR at Medivation (acquired by Pfizer), and associate vice president of HR at Thermo Fisher Scientific. She graduated with her bachelor’s degree in marketing from Notre Dame University, and later went on to complete the University of California Berkeley extension program for chief HR officers.
Peters joins several other key C-suite hires within the past year, including Chief Medical Officer Dr. Robert Schott, Chief Operating Officer Dr. John Stubenrauch, and Chief Business Officer Dr. Geoff Nosrati.
